My first run since the Gander Commander Road Race (blog post to come on that) and it was tough!! Taking time off, it doesn't take long for the body to decondition - not that I trained THAT much to begin with on the running.

Back to Balance Workout August 21/13

Today, I felt like my body needed a little break from the norm so I did 40 mins of a Yoga Zone DVD called "Introduction to Power Yoga".


It was great to feel my body working in a different way and a nice reminder that it doesn't have to always be super crazy sweat to do something that is good for your body and your health.


Remember to switch things up from time to time and keep it fun!!!

Today is the start of week two techincally. I decided to do a metabolic workout today which was a timed workout that looked like this....
  • Squat (15)
  • Close grip pushup (10)
  • Jumping jacks (20)
  • Reverse Lunge (10 each side)
  • Inchworm (6)
  • Run (20 seconds)
  • Mountain Climbers (10 each side)
  • Total Body Extension (8 )
  • Calf jump (10)
