Beef and Barley Soup

  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 6 portions top sirloin cut into cubes
  • 4 c. reduced salt beef broth
  • Water
  • onion chopped
  • 1 stalk celery chopped
  • Carrots, sliced
  • 1tsp dried oregano
  • Black pepper
  • ½ c. pearl barley
  • 10oz frozen green beans
  • Bay leaf
  • 1 14oz can diced tomatoes
  • 10oz frozen green peas

 


I prefer to do all my soups and stews in the slow cooker for more tender meats but you can do it on the stove as well. Don’t think you need soup making directions? (But if you do, pop me off and email!)
